Smoked Brisket Stroganoff
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3/4 pound smoked brisket, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
- 3 Tbsp beef bouillon and 3/4 c water, or 1 c beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp parsley, fresh and chopped
- 1 tsp Salt and pepper
Instructions
Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the onions and saute until nearly translucent. Add mushrooms, and continue cooking till mushrooms are done. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add brisket, and saute all for 2-4 minutes.
Add the beef bouillon and stir into mixture before adding water, or add in the beef broth.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a boil.
Turn the heat to low and simmer until the flavors have started to meld and the sauce has reduced a bit, about 15 minutes.
Stir in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle parsley on top and serve.
