Cranberry Poppers

Ingredients

  • 2 c granulated sugar
  • 2 c water
  • 1 bag fresh cranberries
  • 1 c sugar (superfine, granulated, or powdered)

Instructions

Dissolve sugar in water over low heat in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer; remove from heat. don't boil with the cranberries in it - you don't want them to pop. Pour mixture into a bowl, and add cranberries. Stir, and refrigerate for 8 hrs. Drain cranberries. Fill container or bowl with sugar, and coat entire berry by rolling it around in the container. Spread out the berries on wax paper, and wait for them to dry. Keep in a cool, dry place for up to one week.
