Curry
Ingredients
- 1/4c margarine
- 1/4c chopped onion
- 1/4c flour
- 2tsp curry powder
- 1c milk
- 1c water (or broth)
- 1-2c cooked chicken, cubed
- 4c cooked rice
- **Condiments**
- pineapple tidbits
- apples
- bananas
- oranges
- tomatoes
- carrots
- dry-roasted peanuts
- raisins
- coconut
- green or red pepper
- mango
- papaya
Instructions
In a saucepan, melt margarine. Add onions and curry powder. Cook until soft. Stir in flour. Add milk and water all at once. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Stir in chicken. Salt and pepper to taste. Heat through, stirring occasionally.
While sauce is cooking, prepare the rice. Serve with a variety of fruits and vegetable cut to bite size or smaller.
